  • What are the side effects of infusion therapy?

Infusion therapy, like any medical treatment, may have potential side effects, although they vary depending on the specific medication or fluids being administered. • Are infusions painful?

The level of pain experienced during an infusion can vary depending on several factors, including the individual's pain tolerance, the specific medication or fluids being administered, and the technique used for catheter insertion. The initial insertion of the catheter into the vein may cause some discomfort or a brief pinching sensation. However, Wellscript’s healthcare professionals are trained to minimize discomfort by using techniques that are as gentle as possible. While some individuals may experience minor discomfort during infusions, the overall goal is to ensure that the procedure is as comfortable as possible.
